Rishikesh is a small town in the Utter Pradesh state in India. It can be traveled to by road and rail that first takes you to a city called Dehradun.
Dehradun is the capital of Utter Pradesh and is in the hilly areas close to the hill station Mussourie.
Rishikesh is known for its religious practices and for the olden days Yogi’s who spent time there for prayers and mediation.
Traveled by road to Rishikesh with family and children and what i remember is the the roads to this city from the place where i was- Jolly Grant, it was a beautiful road. The town of Rishikesh does not at all attract me now, though it is busy and full of life.
When we were there, we enjoyed the culinary delights of which there are several at amazing prices! The walks were good but being badgered by beggars was an experience to not ever forget!
